- also, here is this thing to look at. been loving on some drug rug, feist, grizzly bear, and iron horse lately. getting mentally prepared for DC, petting the dogs, annoying my dad, visiting my grammas, missing boone friends (AND boone. boone summers are so amazing), looking at webcomix, and not updating my blog. i haven't been drawing and i haven't been crafting. but i feel some creativity coming or at least thats what i keep telling myself. going to see some friends get married on saturday (IN BOONE!!!) and it should be a blast! friends watching friends getting married to other friends!!

casting spells
i'm not gonna lie. i haven't posted anything in a while because i haven't drawn anything in a while. i think i'm in some kind of "dry" spell or "too-busy" spell or "i-just-want-to-relax-and-not-have-to-scan- things-after-i-get-done-at-the-farm" spell or "i'm-trying-to-get-into-sewing-recently" spell. also, i don't have a scanner anymore.
i went to an opening last night at the nth and there were about a hundred or so of these little paintings and they were really awesome. there were a bunch based on people the artist knows in boone, professors from the art department, colors, music, etc. it was really interesting looking at paintings about both people i do and don't know; artistic interpretations of people and friends from a different perspective. i would love to be able to devote myself to making works for a show one day. man. it is getting me so excited just thinking about it. i will have to work on my presentation for sure. a few friends and i have thrown around some ideas about having a collaborative show at some point, and now that i'm not in school anymore, this seems both totally feasible and impossible at the same time.
lately, i have been either at the farm working with the birds, or hanging out at long street with the roomies, learning how to sew and craft with casa-bear. not much time left for drawing after that. don't give up hope, however, dear readers, for one of these days i may surprise all of us.
